L.A. Man Gets Attacked By Teens on Bikes in Broad Daylight
A violent incident involving teenagers beating up an unidentified man was caught on camera.
A viral video shows a group of teenagers on bikes brutally attacking a man in broad daylight in Los Angeles.
The shocking incident took place at the intersection of Carrillo Drive and San Vicente in the Carthay neighborhood of Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, where a group of teenagers were seen punching and kicking a man.
Dimitri Kermani, who shared the footage on his Instagram account, alleged that he and his ex-military Lyft driver intervened, causing the attackers to flee on their bikes.
“We could have easily been jumped ourselves. Fortunately the thugs got back on their bikes after leaving the victim with head trauma and multiple lacerations to the face,” Kermani wrote. “Took more than 20 minutes for paramedics to arrive and another 10 minutes for police to arrive.”
He continued, “The victim could have died if his injuries were more severe. The level of trauma he and his family are now going through is heartbreaking. I will say I am grateful for the 6 people who stayed to help which included a Navy nurse who stayed with the victim.”
Kermani also noted that the video he shared was actually captured by another witness in a nearby Uber who didn't stick around but provided the footage to share with law enforcement.
A source from the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly told TMZ that the fight stemmed from an argument between the teens and a motorist before the situation escalated into violence and car vandalism.
KTLA reported that witnesses observed the teens attacking cars along San Vicente before a man confronted them, leading to the assault.
Police have yet to make any arrests in connection to the altercation.
