Catholic School Principal Resigns After Being Arrested in Strip Club While on Class Field Trip

A principal in Louisiana has resigned after being arrested at a Washington, DC strip club.

Holy Family Principal Michael Comeau was chaperoning a middle school trip to the nation's capital when he was arrested at Archibald's Gentlemen's Club in Northwest DC.

Police were called to the club, just blocks from the White House, to found Comeau “standing in the roadway, refusing to move." Comeau reportedly refused to settle up with the club. Police asked him to move from the street and he continued to refuse. He was booked for public intoxication and breaking open container laws.

While being arrested during a school field trip seems like grounds for a firing in just about any school system you can think of, Comeau's arrest is particularly humiliating given that he was running a Catholic school and was locked up for misconduct in a strip club. Comeau resigned from his position according to a statement from the Diocese of Baton Rouge:
