Teacher Accused of Masked Group Sex With Underage Students, Husband Files for Divorce

Indiana teacher Brittany Fortinberry is facing multiple child sex abuse charges for allegedly having group sex with her underage high school students, and now her husband has filed for divorce.

As reported by TMZ, the 31-year-old teacher's husband, Nicholas Fortinberry, filed for divorce after a police investigation into the allegations against her was opened. The couple got married in November 2020, and he listed the date of separation as February 21, 2025, in the divorce filing. The two have a four-year-old child, who he is seeking temporary custody of. Additionally, he wants temporary possession of their family home.

In police documents, one of the alleged victims said that the former teacher's husband "knew about things" and threatened to "slaughter" any of them if they told authorities. The parent of the victim told police that Nicholas also confronted one of Brittany's victims directly and told him he "needed to stop until he was of age."

Fortinberry previously worked as a teacher at Eminence High School. She allegedly sent explicit photos and videos to the underage students and has also been accused of giving them alcohol and magic mushrooms and forcing them to have group sex with her. One of the victims said they were forced to wear masks of Ghostface from the Scream franchise during at least one of these group sex sessions.

She is facing charges that include child molestation, sexual misconduct with a minor, and dissemination of matters harmful to minors.

As People reported, the victims were as young as 13 at the time of the incidents, which happened between 2023 and 2024. One of the victims told authorities that she threatened to take her own life if they told anyone. Fortinberry told police that she did not regret her actions but said she regrets losing weight because she "doesn't think she would have run into any of these issues if she was still 150 pounds heavier."
