Elon Musk has made sharing adult content part of the social media platform's policy.
Elon Musk's X has a new porn policy.
According to a recent update, users can now share consensual adult content to the social media platform if it is marked as porn.
“We believe that users should be able to create, distribute, and consume material related to sexual themes as long as it is consensually produced and distributed,” the update said. “Sexual expression, whether visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression.”

While adult material isn’t new to X, the site lacked an official policy. Now, users can restrict such content to children, and adults can choose not to view it in their feeds. Users cannot have adult content in profile photos or banners.
“We also prohibit content promoting exploitation, nonconsent, objectification, sexualization or harm to minors, and obscene behaviors,” X wrote.
X is also asking users to place a content warning on adult material so that users know what they are seeing. Both real and AI content fall under the new policy.
