Watch Police Chase a Stolen Ambulance Throughout Philadelphia

The suspect was captured after nearly a two-hour chase.

Philadelphia police have taken a suspect into custody for stealing an ambulance and driving it throughout the city.

According to 6 ABC, the incident occurred just after 9 p.m. after police responded to a reported shooting on the 7400 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

Police fired at the suspect, though it is unclear if the suspect was struck by gunfire. Police almost arrested the suspect before he got into an ambulance and escaped.

Below, video was captured of the scene, where the suspect plowed through a gas station, hit a vehicle, and a few police cruisers.

Emergency dispatch audio captured the voice of the man, taking control of the radio while inside the ambulance.

"Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?" he said. "I want to get back to the Roosevelt Inn. I want my wife."

The chase lasted for nearly two hours before he was captured at around 10:40 p.m. local time.

No injures were reported.
