Mysterious Donald Trump Tombstone Pops Up in Central Park
The tombstone also featured an updated version of Trump's campaign slogan: "Make America Hate Again."
Central Park frequenters were treated to some mysterious new scenery on Sunday in the form of a tombstone for Donald Trump. The tombstone, emblazoned with an updated version of Trump's notoriously dumb campaign slogan, started making the rounds on Instagram and Twitter early Sunday morning before ultimately being removed. According toABC7, the Central Park Conservancy has not released a statement on the apparent prank.
"I support it," Robert Cokie, Bronx citizen, tells the New York Daily News. "It's political satire." The surprisingly realistic tombstone is believed to have popped up near Sheep's Meadow overnight before getting heavily 'grammed ahead of its inevitable removal:
Though Trump himself hasn't addressed the fake tombstone controversy, he's still out and about delivering his traditional tepidness as the GOP frontrunner. Just last week, Trump made the usual daytime TV rounds in light of the tragic terrorist attacks in Brussels to double down on his dedication to xenophobia. "Frankly, the waterboarding, if it was up to me, and if we changed the laws or had the laws, waterboarding would be fine,'' Trump said during an appearance on NBC's TODAY, just hours after the attacks. "If they could expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding. You have to get the information from these people."
