Ye Pulls Up to 2025 Grammys, Links With Kai Cenat
Ye and Ty Dolla Sign's "Carnival" track, which also features Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti, is nominated for Best Rap Song at the 2025 Grammys.
The artist formerly known as Kanye West pulled up to the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday night and briefly connected with Kai Cenat as he made his way to the ceremony, which is taking place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Prior to making his way to the awards show, Ye expressed gratitude for being nominated with a post to his Instagram account. Ye's "Carnival" track, which also features Ty Dolla Sign, Rich the Kid, and Playboi Carti, was nominated for Best Rap Song. Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us," however, ultimately won in that category.
Ye's social media run-up to the Grammys also saw him bringing Taylor Swift into the conversation. At one point, he was following Swift, and only Swift, on Instagram. That has since changed, however. Ye and Taylor's intertwined public history is extensive and exhaustively well-documented, so we won't retread it here.
Just a few weeks ago, Kai revealed that he and Ye got in contact and buried the hatchet after their public feud.
“Oh my gosh. Kanye just texted me,” Kai said back in early January. “Kanye said, ‘Happy new year, family.’ I’m not lying to you. … The beef is over, chat. The beef is over.”
This beef-ending chapter in their mini-saga has since expanded, with Kai recently telling fans that the chances of he and Ye doing a stream together in Japan were decidedly not zero. In fact, per Kai, he would estimate that chance as sitting at around “90 percent” as of last month.
