Adin Ross Rips Doechii Over Viral Met Gala Clip: ‘An Entitled, Unintelligent Piece of Sh*t'
The streamer slammed the "Anxiety" rapper over her behavior at the Met Gala and calls her an "industry plant."
Adin Ross trashed Doechii in a live stream tirade, calling her “entitled” and an “industry plant” in response to her controversial Met Gala incident.
During his Kick stream on Monday, the 24-year-old streamer launched into an angry tirade against Doechii in response to the viral clip of the rapper demanding umbrellas to help keep her outfit under wraps until she made it to the Met Gala carpet.
“Oh, dude, don’t get me started on that bitch… Don't get me started on that industry plant,” Ross said at the 13-minute, 40 second mark of the stream linked here, before calling her “an entitled, unintelligent piece of shit.”
“I'm not joking, bro. Stop listening to her music. [Playboi] Carti and Abel, why would you give her a feature on a remix? You shouldn't have cleared it,” he said, referring to the recently-released “Timeless” remix with the TDE star.
He criticized her music and accused her of stealing Gotye and Kimbra’s 2011 duet “Someone That I Used to Know” to create her viral hit “Anxiety,” even though the sample is legally cleared.
“Fuck Doechii, okay? She has zero talent,” he continued.
What supposedly pushed him to the edge was the Grammy-winning rapper’s attitude towards staff members in the viral Met Gala clip, which he played for his followers during the stream.
“Who the fuck do you think you are, bro? You're not Rihanna, you're not Nicki Minaj. Why are you speaking like that?” Ross said.
When Doechii is heard in the clip saying, “We need another umbrella, now” and “I need more fucking umbrellas,” Ross reacted with, “Where’s the 'please?' Where’s the 'may I?' What a cunt, bro. Holy fuck.”
The clip of Ross criticizing Doechii has inspired several responses online.
"Adin Ross has never came up with an original thought in his life. He just sees what his incel fans say on twitter and runs with it because he knows its what they want to hear," wrote one user. "Also the last person to be calling anyone unintelligent. Mr. 'Hitler was a great leader.'"
"going after Doechii cause of your hate for Kendrick is so nasty," wrote another. "Adin Ross and the rest of you twinks should be fucking ashamed of yourselves."
On the other hand, the “Denial is a River” rapper has yet to respond to Ross’ comments. However, she did react to the backlash after the Met Gala clip took off online.
"God forbid a girl needs more umbrellas ☂️😂," Doechii wrote on a TikTok, while The Commodores track "Easy" played in the background.
"All jokes aside this was such an overstimulating night but I wouldn’t trade it for the world!" she wrote in the caption. "This was the night we all dreamed of and my team killed it (umbrellas aside) 😭🥴"
In a February 2025 interview with The Cut’s Danya Issawi, the Alligator Bites Never Heal rapper addressed the ongoing “industry plant” rumors.
“When people aren’t familiar with the history of an artist these days, they get suspicious,” she told the publication. “I’m pretty detached emotionally from it because I understand where it’s coming from. And to be honest, once you get any conspiracies around your career, that’s just confirmation that I’m going somewhere and I’m doing something right.”
