Jennifer Lopez Kisses Her Male and Female Backup Dancers in AMA Opening Performance
The superstar and AMAs host kicked off the night with a steamy lip-lock.
Jennifer Lopez kicked off the American Music Awards with a steamy kiss.
The superstar and host of the awards took the stage on Monday night (May 26) and danced to a mashup of 23 of the year’s biggest hit songs, including Kendrick Lamar’s “Squabble Up,” Doechii’s “Denial Is a River” and Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go.”
Halfway through the medley, J.Lo locked lips with a male backup dancer, and then immediately followed it with a female dancer to the sounds of Teddy Swims' "Lose Control."
After the sultry kiss-off, Lopez addressed the crowd, saying, “I had to kick things off by turning it up to the biggest songs of the year and dancing my heart out for all of you.”
Both Lopez and the AMAs are making meaningful comebacks this year.
The “world’s largest fan-voted award show” made its return to the airwaves after a two year hiatus that began in 2022.
On the other hand, Lopez is going back on the road with her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, marking her first concert tour in six years. The tour begins on July 4 in Egypt and will visit a number of overseas countries.
