Lil Baby Teases Project With Future, Says It Was Young Thug’s Idea
Baby released his new album 'WHAM' on Jan. 3.
More music from Lil Baby could be on the way with Future and maybe ven Young Thug.
With his new album WHAM barely a week old, the 30-year-old Baby isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. On the latest episode of RapCaviar's “A Day in the Life,” the rapper teased that new music could be on the way soon.
“WHAM album, Dominique album, Can’t Be Fucked With tape, a compilation—remember I told you I got that coming,” Baby said around the eight minute mark of the video above.
According to the Atlanta rapper, he's been spending time in the studio with another rap heavyweight.
“Me and Future was working on a joint tape, you know what I’m saying? We damn near got that joint tape done," he said before adding that Young Thug may be involved as well. "Now [Young Thug] came home he ain’t going for that," Baby added. "He’s like, ‘Shit.’ It’s actually Thug’s idea … He [was] like, ‘Ay, call Pluto. I want y’all to do the tape together.’”
Baby wasn't clear in terms of Young Thug's specific involvement, but make no mistake, the newly freed rapper is definitely involved.
“He damn near named the tape, this [is] before he got out," he explained. "Now he got out, he like, ‘I’m on the tape.’ We might got something big in store for that. I don’t know exactly, but it’s gonna be a lot in the works."
Baby explained that Thugger is constantly in the studio and that they already have 10 songs recorded for the project since his release from prison after the lengthy YSL RICO trial.
Lil Baby’s WHAM was released on Jan. 3 and features Future, Young Thug, GloRilla, and more.
