Rod Stewart Pays Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne With Bizarre AI-Generated Heaven Selfies
The AI-generated video showed Osbourne taking selfies with late musicians like 2Pac, XXXTentacion, and Michael Jackson.
Rod Stewart paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne in a bizarre way, aided by artificial intelligence.
A clip from Stewart’s U.S. concert tour shows an A.I.-generated video depicting the late Black Sabbath frontman taking selfies in Heaven with other deceased musicians including Prince, 2Pac, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, and XXXTentacion.
The moment, which can be seen in the TikTok above, takes place when Stewart, 80, sings his 1988 hit, “Forever Young,” which he has been dedicating to Osbourne at each performance since his death last month.
The use of AI to depict Osbourne with other dead celebs confused some viewers, who wrote comments like "oh no" and "sooo weird."
Osbourne died on July 22 at age 76. Although an official cause of death was not revealed, the late rocker had been living with Parkinson’s disease since 2019.
Following a private funeral attended by rockers like Zakk Wylde, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Osbourne was buried at his home in Buckinghamshire, England.
Osbourne’s final resting place, per Page Six, is near a lake, which is in line with the wishes he expressed in his autobiography.
“I want to be put in the ground in a nice garden somewhere with a tree planted over my head,” he wrote in his 2009 book, I Am Ozzy, adding that he did not want to be cremated.
Ozzy is survived by his wife Sharon and their three children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, plus children Elliot Kingsley, Jessica Osbourne, and Louis Osbourne from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.
Following his death, tributes to the “Prince of Darkness” poured in from some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Drake, T-Pain, Trick Daddy, Carmen Electra, Ice-T, Elton John, and Jack Black.
