Tory Lanez Loses Appeal to Add Alleged New Evidence in Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case
Lanez faces a legal setback, as a California judge rejected two habeas petitions.
Tory Lanez’s attempt to overturn parts of his convictions and sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion have been denied.
The California Court of Appeals rejected a significant portion of his appeal on Tuesday (August 12), according to Legal Affairs & Trials journalist Meghann Cuniff.
Both habeas petitions — one concerning Lanez’s driver not testifying and another tied to a new statement from a security guard for Kelsey Nicole Harris during trial — were denied.
While these specific claims will not move forward, Lanez’s main appeal remains active and is scheduled for oral argument next Monday (August 18) in Los Angeles.
