Young Thug and Leena Sayed Seemingly Respond to Leaked Jail Call Video
In an emotional 2022 video call from jail, model Leena Sayed is heard telling Young Thug, "I only want you."
Young Thug is seemingly giving his side of the story after a jail phone call with entrepreneur and model Leena Sayed from two years ago was recently shared online.
On Monday, a nearly 15-minute video of an emotional video call between Thug, now a free man, and Sayed was leaked by Law & Crime. According to the timestamp, the call was recorded in July 2022 and later uploaded to the Law & Crime Trials YouTube channel.
Thug has been romantically linked to Mariah the Scientist, 27, since the summer of 2021, just months before he was arrested on gang and racketeering charges in Atlanta.
Although it’s unclear what led to their conversation, Sayed is heard apologizing to Thugger for something that "came out wrong," adding that she "did not mean it that way."
“This is something that someone else told me, and I feel like I should have never said that to you,” the model says at the 2:34 mark in the video linked above. “I should have never repeated it. I should have never said that.”
Around seven minutes in, Sayed becomes visibly emotional and says through tears, “I don’t like anyone. No one’s like you. I don’t like them, I want you.”
Shortly after the video of Thug and Sayed was shared online, the ATL rapper took to X (formerly Twitter), seemingly responding to the situation. Thug appeared to refer to Sayed as "my twin and nothing else" and expressed confusion about why she "spoke on loving other people" during the call, stating he "ain't giving no fuck about no hoes."
“Man me and twin was talking bout some whole other serious shit, I don't know y she spoke on loving other people or anything else cause ain giving no fuck bout no hoes or n****s,” wrote Thug on his X account on Monday night. “I'm the capital P lol that's my twin and nothing else. Never have never will lol.”
Thug continued, “I can have that lil shit right now if I wanted it, but she been pushing the p harder then n****s lol that's the twin...," he wrote in another post, adding, "l got who I want," likely referring to Mariah the Scientist.
Sayed, who is rumored to be romantically involved with boxer 26-year-old Devin Haney and announced she was pregnant in August, also issued what seemed like to be a response to her Instagram Story on Monday.
“That video was before I met my bd...I would never talk to thug or any other man,” she wrote on IG.
Not long after Thug's jail call video with the model appeared online, a separate phone call from May 2022 was also shared. In that call, Thug is heard chatting with his close friend Geoffrey Ogunlesi about his relationship with Mariah the Scientist, admitting at the 1:39 mark that their relationship scares him.
“I'm in love with her though for sure 100%,” he said. “For the most part, I ain't been calling no another girl. I ain’t call no another girl in like a week. And I usually call at least ten girls every time I get on the phone just to kill time,” he added.
Young Thug, whose legal name is Jeffery Williams, is now free after entering a non-negotiated plea deal. He received a 40-year sentence, including five years in prison (commuted to time served), 15 years on probation, and a 20-year "backloaded" sentence that will only be enforced if he violates probation.
