On the latest episode of It Is What It Is, Mase spoke about attending the funeral for The Notorious B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace, and revealed he'd consider visiting his former label boss Diddy in jail.

Cam'ron gave his condolences to the Wallace family and said he heard that Mase was forced to sit next to Diddy's son, Christian "King" Combs, at the funeral. "I don't think he saw me, I would have said what's up," he said. "I mean, if my name was on the list I'd go visit Puff, you know? ... I would visit him, make sure he was good." Cam laughed, "Why wouldn't you do it was he was out?"

Mase continued, after laughing at Cam's question, "These are the times when you need people to check up and make sure you're good." He clarified that he does not "condone" any of the alleged actions of Diddy, who is behind bars awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, but until the verdict is in he would want to make sure the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder is doing alright. "He didn't do all bad, he did some good," he said. "I ain't talking about the tape stuff and all of that, I'm talking about the musical side. Giving me an opportunity, I think as a person of class you definitely got to show up and sit somewhere in the court if they let you."

Mase, who plans to release a new album at the start of Diddy's trial later this year, has a turbulent relationship with his former label boss. "You think he innocent?" asked Cam. "I don't know," Mase replied. "If they throw my name on the list, I think right now will be a perfect time for me and him to have a conversation."

Just before he shared his comments about Diddy, he also spoke about the "heartfelt" funeral, which was also attended by Lil' Kim, Faith Evans, and Jay-Z's mother, Gloria Carter. "It was interesting, it was good but then it was also, like, heartfelt because while I was sitting there I was thinking it felt like an end of an error," he said around the 1:20 point. "That's what I was looking at when I was sitting there just looking at all of the videos. ... If you were there and I didn't say hello, it's just 'cause my mind was somewhere else. It was probably some people I should have said hello to, but my brain was somewhere else."
