T-Pain insists there's no hard feelings with Christina Aguilera, years after she wore a t-shirt that read, "Auto-Tune is for pussies."

T-Pain, a gifted vocalist who typically utilizes auto-tune as a stylistic choice, took to X where he shared an image of Aguilera alongside a series of raised-eyebrow emojis. Alongside the image, he shared a SpongeBob SquarePants meme that asks, "I'm pussy?" The photo was taken in 2009, per Vulture.

After the tweet got some attention, T-Pain made sure to clarify that he didn't have any ill-will towards Aguilera. "I don't have beef with Christina," he wrote. "It was just a funny shirt 😂 That glitchie glitchie ya ya da da is a slapper."

T-Pain popularized the use of auto-tune with his No. 1 album Epiphany, which featured the hit track "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')."

While auto-tune had been in use since the late '90s, notably on Cher's 1998 single "Believe," the backlash to the technology kicked off around 2007. Some musicians, including Radiohead on their album Amnesiac, utilized the software to great artistic effect, and yet it wasn't until it hit the mainstream with T-Pain and then later Kanye West with 808s & Heartbreak that people started to complain about its use.

Funnily enough, Aguilera utilized auto-tune on her 2010 album Bionic, something she admitted in a Sirius XM interview.
