Nearly 30 years since they first collaborated on Common's classic 1996 diss track "The Bitch In Yoo," the Chicago MC and Pete Rock have joined forces for their new joint album, The Auditorium, Vol. 1.

The 15-track project features guest appearances from De La Soul's Posdnuos ("When the Sun Shines Again"), Bilal ("So Many People"), Jennifer Hudson ("A God (There Is)"), and PJ ("Everything's So Grand").

Auditorium Vol. 1 marks both artists' first full-length offerings since 2021, coming three years removed from Common's A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2 and Pete Rock's 21 Grams: Worth It's Weight In Soul.

In an interview with People, Common talked about a myriad of topics and even revealed that the new project could be the first in a series of its kind. “We put Vol. 1 because obviously, potentially, there may be a second volume,” he told the publication.

Com took to Instagram on Friday to celebrate the album's release by thanking God, Pete Rock, and others.

"All praises to The MOST HIGH GOD," Common wrote. "His blessings and guidance are infinite. My musical journey has been filled with joy and laughs, ascension and descension, great times and tough times. So all I can say is Thank you. Thank you to GOD. Thank you to Pete Rock. Thank you to my team. Thank you to Pete’s team. Thank you to Loma Vista, and Thank you to anyone who took time to listen to my music. Today is a blessing beyond words."
