Post Malone Announces He's Expecting His First Child: 'I'm the Happiest I've Ever Been'

Post Malone is going to be a father.

Posty and his longtime girlfriend are expecting their first child together, a rep for the rapper confirmed to Complex.

In a statement to TMZ, Malone said, “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for [as long as] I could remember I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”

Sources told the outlet that the 26-year-old artist and his girlfriend celebrated the news with friends and family at a party in Southern California this past weekend.

The news arrives less than a week after Post announced the release date for his fourth studio album Twelve Carat Toothache. The follow-up to 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding will arrive on June 3.

Post revealed the title for his forthcoming LP during an interview with Billboard back in January. Malone said Twelve Carat Toothache, which clocks in around 45 minutes, “speaks more to how [he’s] feeling at the moment: the ups and downs and the disarray and the bipolar aspect of being an artist in the mainstream.”

Hits Daily Double is already expecting the project will have big debut on the charts, as Twelve Carat Toothache is projected to move with 250,000-275,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

After its release, Post will headline the 2022 edition of Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash Festival in June, before making another headlining appearance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival in August.
