Fat Joe ‘Family Ties’ Album Has Arrived
The project includes appearances by Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla Sign, Jeremih, Bryson Tiller, and Eminem.
Fat Joe has delivered Family Ties—his much-anticipated studio album that could possibly conclude his discography.
The Bronx legend has suggested he was ready to step away from the game following the release of Family Ties, which was made in collaboration with Dre of Cool and Dre.
“This Family Ties is a classic. We not takin’ no talk back … My whole career, I’ve been chasing a classic,” Joe said, before addressing his potential retirement. “I love music, I love hip-hop, but I’m just feelin’ like my daughter is getting a little older … I wanna try that regular life.”
He continued: “… Don’t think the love and the passion and the music ain’t there. It’s just the fact that I wanna try to be a regular dad.”
Family Ties is Joe’s first solo album since 2010’s The Darkside Vol. 1, and his first full-length release since 2017’s Plata O Plomo with Remy Ma, who was also featured on Family Ties. Other guest artists include Eminem, Lil Wayne, Jeremih, Bryson Tiller, Mary J. Blige, Ty Dolla Sign, and Cardi B.
