J.I.D Drops Video for "Surround Sound" f/ 21 Savage and Baby Tate
The song is expected to land on J.I.D's long-awaited project, 'The Forever Story,' which will mark the rapper's first studio album since 2018's 'DiCaprio 2.'
J.I.D is starting the new year off strong.
Days after announcing his 2022 Coachella performance, the Dreamville rapper came through with “Surround Sound,” featuring fellow Georgia stars 21 Savage and Baby Tate. J.I.D confirmed the release earlier this week, when he shared a preview of its official video directed by Mac Grant and Chad Tennies: “1 comment and we’ll drop this on 1/14 Friday,” he captioned the sneak peek.

J.I.D is scheduled to perform at this year’s Coachella festival on April 17 and 24. It’s unclear if his long-awaited album, The Forever Story, will be released before or after his debut Coachella gig.
“The Forever Story is the one.. it’s otw soon,” he tweeted back in May. “I been working for years on dis bit😎I feel good about my growth.”
