Eminem Drops Extended Version of "Nowhere Fast" f/ Kehlani
Featuring a new verse that tackles the ongoing issue of gun violence.
Earlier this week, Eminem and Kehlani performed their collaborative track “Nowhere Fast” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. It was a performance that was considered one of the most powerful moments of the night, as it included never-before-heard lyrics that tackled the nation’s ongoing issue of gun violence.
On Friday night, Eminem revealed that he would release the extended version of “Nowhere Fast” on all major streaming services. The track will serve as the third single off his 2017 album Revival, following “Walk on Water” featuring Beyoncé and “River” with Ed Sheeran.
You can listen to the updated version of “Nowhere Fast” on iTunes and Apple Music.
The debate over gun reform was reignited last month after 17 people lost their lives in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. One of the surviving students, Alex Moscou, introduced Eminem and Kehlani at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, while also making a plea for increased gun control.
“We are tired of hearing politicians send their thoughts and prayers to us and doing nothing to make the necessary changes to prevent this tragedy from happening again,” Moscou said during the awards show. “School is a place where we should feel safe and if those elected to represent us won’t do what’s right to keep us safe then we’re going to be too loud for them to ignore.”
