The past couple of years have been huge for Nav. In addition to dropping a handful of mixtapes, the XO artist has worked alongside heavy-hitters like Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and, of course, the Weeknd. But despite all the success, the Toronto rapper is aware that he’s still relatively new to the whole hip-hop game, as well as all the hate and jealousy that comes with it.

Nav addresses this very topic in his latest aptly titled single “Freshman List.”

The track arrived just several days after Nav announced his first headlining tour, which is called Freshman. The North American trek will kick off April 24 in Santa Ana, California, and will include stops in Seattle, Dallas, Miami, and Philadelphia, before concluding May 23 in Detroit. He will be joined by special guest 88Glam.

Nav is also gearing up to release his long-awaited debut album, which he claims is “pretty much done.”

“I'm really heavily involved in the production this time, as far as like the beats and stuff... It's got some good features on there,” he told Tim Westwood last month. “[…] It’s coming very soon. I’m gonna announce it, sooner or later. You’re gonna get a date.”

We’re not sure what Nav means by “soon,” but we're glad he came through with new music to keep us satisfied in the meantime. You can listen to “Freshman List” now on Spotify.
