Birdman and Toni Braxton Celebrate Their First Wedding Anniversary

Birdman and Toni Braxton are celebrating their first wedding anniversary.

Braxton took to Instagram on Friday (Aug. 8), posting a photo of her sizable canary yellow diamond engagement ring and wedding band, while holding white flowers.

“Happy Anniversary,” she wrote.

For his part, Baby didn’t post about their anniversary on his IG or X accounts.

News surfaced in April that the pair had reportedly walked down the aisle last August. Documents obtained by TMZ revealed their wedding date to be Aug. 8, 2024. However, their bliss didn’t last long, with the outlet reporting that the couple almost split shortly after their nuptials.

Two weeks later, Braxton filed for divorce, listing their date of separation as Aug. 10. At the time, the 7-time Grammy winner and her attorney said that the marriage was "irretrievably broken." Months later, in January, the pair reconciled, and the divorce petition was dismissed.

The couple began dating in 2016 during Braxton’s battle with Lupus. She later told People she didn’t anticipate her friendship with Birdman—whom she had been close to for “15 or 16 years”—to blossom in this manner. “I never thought we would be dating or getting married,” she said.

In 2018, Braxton confirmed on her family’s reality show, Braxton Family Values, that she was engaged and showed off her ring, designed by Birdman. Sadly, there was trouble in paradise the following year, with the two scrubbing each other from their IG accounts and revealing that they were no longer getting married.

They then sparked reconciliation rumors in 2019 when Birdman joined Braxton on stage at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Yet, in December 2023, Braxton rejected rumors that she was engaged and said she and Baby were both single, calling him her “dear friend.”
