Cam’ron Says He Booked Omar Gooding in Fake Movie as Feud Escalates
Their beef began when Cam referred to Gooding as "Omar Gooding Jr." on a December episode of 'It Is What It Is.'
Cam’ron has been feuding with Omar Gooding for months after calling the actor “Omar Gooding Jr.” on his podcast It Is What It Is.
Now their beef has escalated, with Cam revealing in an Instagram video that he recently hired Gooding to act in a fake movie. Throughout their beef, both parties have dropped off diss records, and while Cam admitted Gooding’s are “actually pretty good,” he cautioned the actor in his own diss track.
“When I did my freestyle, I said, 'Please don't mention me with no Omar Gooding.' He did another record," Cam explained. He concocted a scheme and hired Gooding to work on a film in Miami a few weeks ago, which remains in the vault. He also shared that the antic only set him back $3,500.
"That movie never coming out," Cam said. "I booked you. And I was laughing at you behind the scenes. I was there. I was sitting there laughing at you."
When Gooding saw Cam's IG video, he responded, asking Cam to fly him out to Toronto next.
Back in December, Killa Cam referred to Omar Gooding as “Jr.” on It Is What It Is and said he’d have to contact 50 Cent to resurrect his career.
“No disrespect to nobody I’m talking about like #VingRhames, you sitting around, or Omar Gooding Jr., y’all n***as sitting around, I would have saved my money and shot my own shit by now, but the Black actor has to sit around for a 50 Cent or somebody in your lane to come pick them up [and] put them in something," he said, per HotNewHipHop.
Gooding caught wind of the comments and responded with a diss track. “He probably didn’t mean it like he said it, but he said it so fuck that dude / I know them sneaky freaks and how they think / They like to booboo and don’t think it stink and then they favorite color’s pink / But probably call it salmon.”
The pair also traded shots on social media, with Cam calling Gooding a “Nickelodeon kid” and Gooding daring the Dipset rapper to “get in the booth.”
