Wu-Tang Clan’s Final Tour Trailer Features Epic Voiceover by Ernie Johnson
All nine living members of the crew are slated to join the Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour.
The Wu-Tang Clan recently revealed its farewell Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour—and now, the group shared a new trailer voiced by Ernie Johnson.
In the clip, a handful of black SUVs bearing the Wu-Tang emblem drive through the streets of New York City, passing by various graffiti tributes to the crew.
“From the slums of Shaolin to the world stage, they have conquered, endured, and remained untouchable. The RZA, the GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, Method Man: The Wu-Tang Clan,” the veteran sportscaster says.
“The final chamber is upon us,” Johnson adds as RZA and Method Man meet up at Madison Square Garden. “The beats will hit harder, the rhymes will cut deeper, and the message will be louder than ever: Wu-Tang is forever.”
RZA and Meth then shout out the tour’s special guest, Run the Jewels. “El-P, Killer Mike—let’s go,” Method Man says.
The Wu-Tang announced the 27-date tour last week, which will kick off on June 6 in Baltimore, with stops in Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York, before ending on July 18 in Philadelphia. All the nine living members of the crew will join the trek; Young Dirty Bastard is slated to perform in lieu of his father, ODB, who passed away in 2004.
