Billy McFarland is gearing up for the next Fyre Festival.

The convicted scammer told NBC News that Fyre Festival II is set to take place on an island off the coast of Mexico next April, and tickets range in price from $1,400 to $1.1 million.

“Fyre Festival II is happening April 25, 2025, so we’re seven and a half months away,” McFarland told the outlet. “We have a private island off the coast of Mexico in the Caribbean, and we have an incredible production company who’s handling everything from soup to nuts.”

So what exactly does the million-dollar ticket get you? According to McFarland, luxury yachts, scuba diving, and island hopping. However, he didn’t reveal much more than that, adding that the festival hasn’t booked any musical artists just yet.

McFarland found himself incarcerated for defrauding investors after the 2017 Fyre Festival left attendees without proper lodging or food. Images made the rounds online of festivalgoers having to sleep in disaster relief tents and eating cheese sandwiches from styrofoam boxes.

However, it seems this time around, McFarland has proper accommodations, including hotels and villas, and he joked that they will have cheese sandwiches again, though they’ll be “super expensive.”

McFarland was released from prison in 2022 after a four-year stint. “I was totally guilty. I committed a crime. Obviously went to prison, and I deserved that prison sentence,” he said.

He revealed to NBC that last August, 100 presale tickets were sold in a day for $499 each. “I think there’s a large number of people who want to go to Fyre II because they’re unsure of the outcome, and they would like to have a front-row seat no matter what happens,” he added.

“We have the chance to embrace this storm and really steer our ship into all the chaos that has happened, and if it’s done well, I think Fyre has a chance to be this annual festival that really takes over the festival industry,” he said.
