GloRilla Shares Story Behind Meeting Beyoncé at Michael Rubin's All White Party
Bey later posted an Instagram photo of her, Glo, and Megan Thee Stallion from that night.
GloRilla met one of her idols, Beyoncé this summer.
On Angel Reese’s podcast, Unapologetically Angel, Big Glo shares the story behind that meeting and the photograph Bey later shared of them with Megan Thee Stallion.
“The night I met her, we was at [Michael Rubin’s] All White Party. So we walking, me and Meg. We had just came from the upstairs part—we going to the downstairs club. So I’m just drunk, I’m walking. I just felt a tap on my shoulder, I looked, it was Beyoncé,” GloRilla said, recounting how she screamed at around the 18:50 minute mark.
“She had her own section and shit,” Glo continued. “She was like, ‘Y’all come over here. I’m like, ‘Come over here to your section? … I was nervous, I was just standing there like, ‘I don’t know what the fuck to say to Beyoncé.’ She was like, ‘You can sit down right there.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my god.’”
She then told Angel she got emotional. “Girl, I can’t help it. Tears started coming down my face. I really love her that bad.”
On Aug. 30, Queen B posted an Instagram photo of her, GloRilla, and Meg from Rubin’s July 4 shindig. That same day, Glo reposted it to her IG.
“I luv yall,” Glo wrote, alongside a slew of heart emojis and wide-eyed emojis.
In September, Beyoncé also shouted out the "F.N.F." rapper in a GQ interview. “I love and respect all of the female singer-songwriters who are out right now,” B said.
Last week, GloRilla shared her debut album Glorious, which boasts features from Megan Thee Stallion, Sexyy Red, Latto, T-Pain, Bossman Dlow, and Kirk Franklin.
