Ice Spice Says She’s Single Amid Central Cee Dating Speculation: 'We're Just Twins'
In a cover story for ‘Rolling Stone,’ Ice Spice was asked about Central Cee and their relationship status.
For the last few weeks, rumors have been swirling about whether Ice Spice and Central Cee are dating.
Ice has now put all the gossip to rest. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 24-year-old said she and the British rapper are purely platonic.
“We’ve been friends since ‘Munch’ came out, honestly. We’re just twins,” she told the publication, adding that she’s single.
Perhaps it really was all a gimmick then. In early July, the two fed speculation about a romantic connection when they were seen shopping together in London, around the time of her Wireless Festival set on July 12. Just before that performance, she dropped off her collaboration with Cee, “Did It First,” a sort of backward love song where Ice vows to do her man worse if she finds him cheating.
But the song also spawned controversy. Cee’s ex-girlfriend, TikTok influencer Madeline Argy quickly accused him of being unfaithful when they were together. Argy took to the social media platform, posting a series of videos where she explained how she discovered that Cee was going to collab with Spice, and that, in his verse, he essentially “snitched” on himself and divulged that he cheated. Cee maintained that the verse was a marketing scheme and he purposely conjured up a dating rumor with the Bronx native.
And it appears that Argy is still trying to go toe-to-toe with Ice. This week, the Y2K rapper posted a TikTok of her doing push-ups while “Did It First” played, captioning the clip, "Mood after takin ha manzzz.” Argy seemed to feel some type of way, responding with a video where she mockingly also does push-ups.
Cee and Argy began dating in 2022, and it is rumored that the two parted ways last year.
