Latto is still remaining tight-lipped about her relationship.

The 777 rapper sat down with Ebro Darden for Apple Music to discuss her love life, which appears to be a central theme on her new album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea.

“The internet don’t know a got damn thing. Let’s start there,” she said, when Ebro asked her if she and her partner enjoy their privacy. “It ain’t really nobody’s business. Like, listen to the music and you’ll know what you need to know.”

When asked if it was difficult to write songs about her love life, Latto started laughing, saying that she often feels like a “simp.”

“When other people in the studio, yeah ‘cause I get to feeling like a simp and I’m so not a simp. Yeah, it’s just so weird. Let that ego go, like really letting my pride down was such a task.”

She continued, “It wasn’t hard when I can be in that element, fully. Like, if I’m sitting in the studio and really just writing my thoughts out. But when somebody right there, I feel like a sucka.”

For months, fans have been speculating that the 25-year-old is dating 21 Savage, though she has previously denied the rumors. Last year, after posting a TikTok of her cooking soul food, some suggested she was making the meal for 21.

“Did she actually say she’s with 21?” one user asked in the comments. “No I’ve said I’m not plenty times,” Latto responded directly.

The rumors have been further fueled by two rappers apparently having each other’s names tattooed on them, with Latto having his birth name, Sheyaa behind her ear, and him having Latto’s birth name, Alyssa behind his ear.

21 plainly stated on Clubhouse in December 2022 that he “don’t got a celebrity girlfriend.” Still, the pair have been romantically linked as far back as 2020, when they were seen at a club together. Latto has also made it clear that their relationship is strictly professional, telling Wild 94.1 in 2021 that “it be real respect” between them. Latto and 21 previously collaborated on the 2022 song, “Wheelie.”
