Olivia Rodrigo Says She Sometimes Sleeps 13 Hours a Night During Tour
The 21-year-old is in Los Angeles, playing a set of six arena shows for her 'GUTS' album.
Olivia Rodrigo is a sleepy girl.
In a new conversation with Complex, the “Driver’s License” was asked how she passes the time on tour.
“Well, I sleep so much on tour,” she told Complex’s head of music, Eric Skelton. “I sleep for 13 hours a day sometimes. I'm so exhausted. So that passes a lot of the time.”
When asked about her recent obsessions, she cited her “comfort show,” Sex and the City, laughing as she said she watches it “every day to make myself feel like I'm grounded and at home.”
She also named reading as another tour activity. Right now, the 21-year-old is almost done with The Secret History by Donna Tartt, which she says is “really good.”
Rodrigo is back home in Los Angeles for a string of arena shows—her first arena tour ever for her latest album, GUTS. To celebrate the moment, she hosted a GUTS popup at Complex L.A. on Aug. 15, dropping a collection of tank tops and hoodies as an ode to her L.A. obsession.
“I'm obsessed with L.A. for many reasons,” Rodrigo told Complex. “Best weather. Best food. I will live and die by that. Best sushi, best Mexican food... So good. It's just amazing. Dreams come true here.”
