Summer Walker Says She ‘Almost Died’ Both Times She Gave Birth, Recalls 52-Hour Labor
The 'Still Over It' singer is a mother of three children.
Summer Walker revealed in a new conversation that she had harrowing birthing experiences with her children. The singer chatted with Mariah the Scientist for Walker's Apple Music 1 show, Over It Radio. During the episode, Mariah asked Walker to compare her first and second times giving birth.
“The second one, it sucked bad. Real bad,” Summer said at around the 12:55 minute mark. “But, believe it or not, the second birth was shorter than the first one.”
She shared that welcoming her twins was a “7-hour birth,” but that she was in labor with her for first child for 52 hours.
“That shit was bad. All of it’s bad,” Walker said, saying she “almost died both times.”
When Mariah asked if Walker would do it again, Walker said, “Yes,” without hesitation.
The “Ex For a Reason” singer had her first child, Bubbles Renee Walker, with ex-boyfriend London on Da Track in 2021. Walker later had her twin sons with LVRD Pharoh in 2022.
According to People, the 29-year-old gave birth to her three children at home. She also previously revealed how long her first child's birth took, writing in a since-deleted Instagram post, “Bubbles was like 52 hours lord lol Like that’s really amazing, I am stronnng okay.”
Back in December, Walker confirmed she was dating Chicago drill rapper Rico Recklezz. Last month, she showed her appreciation for how her boyfriend dotes on her.
"You know what? Ya'll can say whatever ya'll wanna say about my man, but let me tell you one thing," she said in an IG post. "When I ask this man to do something for me, he gon' do it the best, the biggest way he motherfucking can. He don't never go small."
