Tina Knowles Gushes Over Blue Ivy’s Hidden Talents: ‘She’s Just an Artistic Soul’
The 12-year-old is gearing up for her feature film debut, 'Mufasa: The Lion King.'
Tina Knowles is raving about Blue Ivy’s many talents.
The proud grandmother was asked by E! News what other “hidden talents” the 12-year-old possesses.
“A lot of them,” Knowles responded. “She paints, she draws, she does poetry. She’s just an artistic soul.”
Tina was also asked about Blue Ivy’s piano skills. Back in July, Knowles revealed in an Instagram post that Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter is something of a savant on the instrument.
“I was so blown away by her on that piano,” Knowles told the outlet. “She’s self-taught and she sounds like a concert pianist. So I’m hoping one day, I might just get enough nerve to just put it out there. She made me swear to secrecy about it.”
In July, Knowles took to IG to praise her granddaughter for winning the YoungStars Award at the 2024 BET Awards, also informing her followers of Blue Ivy’s piano prowess.
“Yesterday you played the piano for just me like someone who has been taking lessons for years,” Knowles wrote in the caption on July 1. “But you are self-taught. One day I hope you will let me post it and brag like other grandmas get to do. But for now you made me swear to not share.”
Blue Ivy is starring in her feature film debut, Mufasa: The Lion King, which is set to release on Dec. 20. The preteen voices Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter and princess of the Pride Lands.
“I was actually with her when she was taping for it and she’s just a natural, so I’m really, really proud of her,” Knowles said of Blue Ivy’s role in the new Lion King film. “I can’t wait til the world gets to really hear.”
