The Wicked Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring performances from Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, is available in a stunning special edition picture disc vinyl.

With the movie now out into the world after making waves both in theaters and at home, there is no better time to revisit the thrillifying music from Grammy and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Schwartz that brought the Land of Oz to life.

As one of the most highly-anticipated musical film adaptations since its Broadway opening in 2003, Wicked serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz and tells the “true” story about the witches of Oz long before Dorothy dropped in.

The musical became a cultural phenomenon and introduced new showtunes standards with songs like “Dancing Through Life,” “Popular,” and “Defying Gravity.”

Grande and Erivo, in their respective on-screen roles of Glinda and Elphaba, are recreating the now-iconic roles first played by Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, the latter of whom earned a Tony Award for Best Actress.

The Wicked soundtrack marks the first English-language recording of the musical in more than two decades and was recorded with an 80-member orchestra (compared to the 23-member ensemble that performs the show nightly at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre), per Playbill.

The picture disc edition of the Wicked soundtrack features a swankified, Ozian-style cover and an exclusive poster packaged inside a gatefold featuring stunning photos of the cast, including Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero.

The picture discs themselves see Erivo’s Elphaba and Grande’s Glinda on each vinyl because, after all, “pink goes good with green.”
