Chicago Protesters Chant Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" After Donald Trump's No-Show
The Trump rally was canceled because of growing security concerns.
Mac Miller isn’t the only one who feels a type of way about Donald Trump. Earlier tonight, Trump supporters and protesters gathered on the campus of the University of Illinois for a rally with the Republican candidate. But due to the intensity of the crowd and growing security concerns, Trump canceled his appearance and postponed the rally for another day.
The announcement led the rally inside the University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion where crowds gathered together to celebrate and cheer. In the video above, some protesters chanted lyrics to Kendrick’s “Alright.” In another video below, you can see them chanting “We stopped Trump!”
Outside the venue, there's a clip of people chanting "Fuck Donald Trump" to the beat of Crime Mob's "Knuck If You Buck."
The aftermath seems to be hostile, according to several tweets from the Chicago Reader. More protests have erupted on the streets. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
