Waka Flocka Flame Clarifies His Stance on Transgender People: "I'm Not Homophobic. I Have Nothing Against The Gay Community."
Waka clears the air on Twitter earlier this afternoon.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club on Friday (Sept. 18), Waka Flocka Flame made some bold claims when discussing the transgender community and Caitlyn Jenner that has him facing a lot of backlash.
“Women are afraid to be a wife and young males are afraid to be men. It’s not cool, they’re not marketing that. They don’t market families and husbands and wives no more. They’re marketing young girls, transgenders, they’re marketing evil, man. Evil is marketed. I ain't got nothing against anybody’s preferences, but putting it on TV, that’s crazy, man.”
He elaborated when speaking on the topic of Caitlyn Jenner, saying, “I ain't saying nothing against like a Bruce Jenner, you follow me, you are who you are when God made you, not who you became after he did. That’s how I just feel. You rebuking God. God ain't put those feelings in you, that’s the devil playing tricks on your mind. That’s a test from God.”
Earlier today, Waka Flocka went on Twitter to clear the air about his comments on transgender people. He states that he has nothing against the transgender community, and went on to blame the media for twisting his words out of context. However, he still stands by his words that marketing transgenders as heroes is wrong and apologizes for describing them as “evil.” Read his tweets, below.
