Doechii Unleashes Major Label-Debut 'Alligator Bites Never Heal'
The TDE signee dropped her first full-length mixtape since signing with the label.
Two years after signing a joint deal with Capitol Records and Top Dawg Entertainment, Doechii finally unveiled her full-length major label debut, Alligator Bites Never Heal.
Taking cues from her Florida upbringing, the 26-year-old rapper rolled out a weekly visual series dubbed "SWAMP SESSIONS." The videos, which serve as visuals for some of the mixtape's songs, stripped Doechii down to her most vulnerable as she raps on top of cars, in scrap yards, and on the Florida streets she was raised in.
The album is preceded by lead singles "NISSAN ALTIMA" and "BOOM BAP." Noticeably absent are her wildly successful singles "Alter Ego" featuring JT and 2023's summer smash hit "What It Is."
In an Instagram post shared shortly after the project hit streaming services at midnight ET, Doechii shared a heartfelt message. "To my swamp," the message reads, "Use my music to encourage you through the rough days and use it to imagine better ones."
The album is available now on all streaming platforms. Listen here.
