50 Cent Calls Chris Brown the 'Best Overall Artist' After Singer Is Granted Bail in London
The rapper and entertainment mogul said he's seen Brown's "whole run."
50 Cent gave Chris Brown his props after the R&B and pop singer was granted bail on Wednesday (May 21).
Brown was arrested in London on May 15 for alleged involvement in an "unprovoked attack" in the Tape London nightclub two years ago. The two-time Grammy winner was accused of striking a man multiple times with a bottle of tequila during the incident. He has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
The arrest concerned fans who have purchased tickets for Brown's upcoming Breezy Bowl tour, but the show is set to go on now that he's posted £5 million bail ($6.7 million USD). The tour begins June 8 in Amsterdam, while Brown's trial begins on June 17 in London.
50 Cent sent the "Residuals" vocalist encouragement shortly after his release with a close-up shot of Brown on Instagram.
"CB out he made bond," Fif's caption began. "I'm only saying shit about him because I think he is the best over all [sic] artist out. I watched his whole run!"
The artists have collaborated together on songs "I'm the Man" and "No Romeo No Juliet." Brown even almost signed to 50's G-Unit Records as a child, which he explained in a 2024 episode of podcast R&B Money.
Around the eight-minute mark of the video below, Brown revealed that he was in a child group and went by "C-Sizzle" before scoring a G-Unit campaign.
"I was like, 'You know what, 50 Cent, he gonna be able to see us he going to be at at the shoot. We can give him my demo,'" Brown recalled.
Although the crew found Brown and his friend "dope," a G-Unit member said they wouldn't know how to "market" children.
