The Harlem rapper was charged in August 2022, nearly one year after reportedly shooting his once-friend and former A$AP Mob member, Terrell Epheron, formerly A$AP Relli. On November 6, 2021, Rocky was said to have shot Epheron during a scuffle in Hollywood, with the bullets grazing him in the knuckles.

Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, previously rejected a plea deal, which offered the rapper 180 days in jail and put him at risk for a maximum sentence of 24 years.
