Nothing could stop ASAP Rocky from making Rihanna his lady.

That's what the "Tailor Swif" rapper revealed in his new W Magazine profile, (which was photographed by Rih), where ASAP reflected on their early friendship, years before the two would become parents to their sons, Rza, 2, and 14-month-old Riot Rose.

The couple's first collaboration was the "Cockiness (Love It)" remix in 2011, which was also performed at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, but Rocky and Rih had a relatively close encounter before the show.

"It’s a lot of history between us," Rocky told W. "I was kicked out of this nightclub. They wasn’t giving me no access to it. This is when I’m just starting out, so nobody knows me. I was with Matthew Williams and Virgil [Abloh]. I was getting into it with the bouncers, and she came out. We just locked eyes. She didn’t even know us, but she [Rihanna] was like, ‘Yo! Why y’all not letting him in? What’s wrong with you?! Let that man in!'"

While the Harlem native would briefly date the likes of Iggy Azalea and Chanel Iman, his feelings deepened for Rih, who he even spotlighted in his "Fashion Killa" music video. ASAP even shared with W Magazine that he knew the "Lift Me Up" singer would be the mother of his children.

"I knew from when we were younger. We both did, I think," Rocky said. "So it was only right when we got older. We just kind of reconnected," he said, adding that it happened, "kind of, sort of 2019, 2020."

The couple have also passed on their individual personality qualities to their children, which Rocky detailed.

"I think Rza is going to keep to himself. He’s an introvert," Rocky continued. "Riot’s an extrovert—he’s just like his mom. Rza is more so like his dad, like me. And he’s my twin. He got his mom’s forehead, but he got everything else from me. I love my boy’s big forehead! I loved it on his mother. Listen to 'Jukebox Joints.'"

Rihanna similarly manifested a relationship with Rocky, which she explained to Interview Magazine earlier this year while discussing their 2012 VMAs performance.

"We saw fashion the same. We saw creative the same. We ended up in the same circles a lot," she told Interview editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg. "And past that, when we grew up, we ended up supporting each other’s brands and products and creative all the time. I would wear his shit, he would show up to my launches."

The artist then shared that their relationship flourished by 2019.

"We’ve known each other for a long time. I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships," she continued. "We’ve seen each other outside of relationships. We knew what we’re capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other’s lives. We can make or break each other’s hearts. And so, we started dating with a lot of caution."
