Gunfire Erupts at Boosie Badazz Concert, Two People Critically Injured
Two victims are in critical condition following the event, where Boosie was performing.
Chaos erupted during a Boosie Badazz performance at an Akron lounge early Monday morning (March 10).
As reported by 19 News, the incident, which occurred one day after Boosie performed in Detroit on the Millennium Tour 2025, happened at roughly 2 a.m. at Field House Lounge. Inside the venue, three male victims were found, including an 18-year-old and a 36-year-old, both who were hit in the torso and taken to a local hospital and are in critical condition. The third victim, who's 25, sustained a graze gunshot injury.
In an interview with TMZ Hip Hop, Akron PD Deputy Chief Michael Miller revealed that at least one shot was fired while Boosie was onstage. The officer also believes that the venue wasn't equipped with police security, and the gunman may have entered through a side door with the weapon.
In the only footage that has surfaced so far, the Baton Rouge rapper is seen ducking and retreating from the stage as a shot goes off. The rapper is currently on the road with Bow Wow, Omarion, Trey Songz and more for the Millennium Tour 2025.
Police are now investigating a possible surveillance video while shell casings were found at the scene.
Those with information about the shooting are encouraged to contact Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip, along with the Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
