Elliott Wilson received a fuming voice note from Bow Wow after allegedly dissing the rapper's new Chris Brown collaboration.

Bow Wow, who's currently co-headlining the Millennium Tour, released his new single "Use Me" last month. Just one day after the song dropped, a person requested on X, formerly Twitter, that Wilson tweet about it, which the veteran journalist jokingly refused to do without giving an explanation.

The interaction was discussed around the 1:50:00 mark of the latest episode of podcast The Bigger Picture, when Wilson shared Bow Wow's voice note with co-hosts DJ Hed and Jeremy Hecht.

"Straight up, man-to-man, my n***a. I'm coming to you like a grown man. What's the issue? Let me know. I don't know. I'm coming to you in private," Bow Wow said.

The rapper then accused Wilson of "doing some hoe ass n***a shit" and asked where Wilson's "energy [was] coming from" after being sent the tweet.

"And I highly respect you. I always big you up and said that you the pioneer of this shit," he continued. "Elliot Wilson is one of the only n****s I'd do an interview with. You, Sway and all that–I'm a real hip hop baby."

"I just wanna know right now n****, what's your issue with me? Because a lot of my homies just sent me some shit and I just want to know where that energy coming from," he concluded.

Wilson played the voice note once more for his shocked co-hosts, who didn't know that the person speaking was Bow Wow. Wilson also explained his tweet, saying that he "has no problem" with the Columbus, Ohio, native.

"I post a lot of shit, so I hate when people on Twitter be trying to tell me what to post or some shit."

The journalist added that the record didn't "grab" him and that he simply "dismissed the record."

"It wasn't that deep," Wilson said, adding that Bow Wow's been known as "a bit of a hothead" since his earlier years at XXL. "He's having a great moment right now, he's on tour, he's got the record with Chris Brown, I guess radio's on it as he said it's a top ten, whatever, keep doing it, my guy. I don't want no problems.

But Bow might have more smoke for Wilson now that his voice note was publicized, which the Bigger Picture crew laughed about.
