Coi Leray and Trippie Redd Expecting First Child
The rapper-singer dubbed herself a "rock star mommy" in her pregnancy announcement.
Coi Leray and Trippie Redd kicked off the new year with a pregnancy announcement.
At the start of 2025 on Wednesday, Jan. 1, the couple revealed on Instagram that they're expecting their first child. In an Instagram carousel, Leray, 27, showed candids of her baby bump, a sketch of Disney character Stitch with “Mommy” written above him, along with snaps of Redd holding her stomach.
"I’m a rock star mommy 💋🥹 we ready for 2025 🖤," the Lemon Cars rapper-singer captioned the post.
Leray and Redd briefly dated in 2019. After roughly five years apart, the artists reconciled in August 2024. Following their initial breakup, Redd dedicated "Leray" to his ex-girlfriend on his 2019 mixtape, A Love Letter to You 4. Leray would follow the gesture by name-dropping Redd on her 2023 single "Isabel Marant."
In response to Redd's 2019 track, Leray appeared on No Jumper that same year and dismissed the song as "bullshit."
"At first, no, I didn’t like it. It was very like, what the fuck, because I always thought we really had something outside of the music," Leray said around the 48-minute mark of the video below. "So I’m just like, damn. If you got something to say, let’s get together and you say that shit to my face… I felt like [I was] being used for clickbait."
In September, Redd revealed during a run-in with TMZ that he slid in Leray's DMs to resume dating. "We just been talking. That’s my boo," the Genre: Sadboy co-artist said.
The new baby will also be a grandchild to Leray's father, Benzino.
