Irv Gotti Sued for Sexual Assault, Battery Stemming From Alleged Abusive Two-Year Relationship
A woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims that the assaults occurred on several occasions from 2020 to 2022.
Irv Gotti becomes the latest hip-hop executive to publicly face allegations of sexual assault and battery.
The news was shared in a report by Alex DeLuca of the Miami News Times, where details about the lawsuit document were revealed, stemming from a woman identified as Jane Doe. The complaint, filed on July 11, centers on Gotti, born Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr., who is being sued for sexual assault, rape and battery that allegedly took place on several occasions from 2020 to 2022.
"As a result of this sexually abusive relationship, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward," the lawsuit states. "These injuries continue and affect Plaintiff to this day."
Doe claims that she met the Murder Inc. Records co-founder at a summer 2020 poker tournament, after which Lorenzo invited her to Saint Martin. It was there that the 54-year-old allegedly pressured Doe for sex and threatened to send her home if she didn't comply.
Although Lorenzo and the woman began dating after the trip, Doe claims that she "suffered constant abuse" throughout the course of their relationship. Allegeding that unwanted sexual acts were requested of her, Doe claimed that Lorenzo forced her to perform fellatio on him in an elevator at a Miami Four Seasons hotel in January 2022. That summer, in Atlanta, the same act was allegedly forced upon her in the back of an Uber.
"Following this event, the relationship ended," the lawsuit reads.
Doe accuses Lorenzo of making defamatory statements about her to his "vast social network in and around Los Angeles," to which she "now fears leaving her home." She also claims that his alleged behavior has made her suffer "severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward."
50 Cent chimed in on the report, writing "oh no 😳" and poking fun at Irv's finances on his IG. "The legal fees are gonna break his ass in half, he ain’t got no money," Fif says.
While Gotti hasn't commented on the allegations, in 2022, he claims to have had a relationship with his former artist, singer Ashanti, on Drink Champs, although he would've been married at the time. On Angie Martinez's IRL podcast, Ashanti would insinuate that Lorenzo tried to sabotoge her career when she began dating Nelly in the 2000s.
"Irv was telling everyone not to record with me," she told Martinez. “How can I stay in that situation? You know what he said to me? 'Nah, you want to be with Nelly, go sign to Derrty ENT, we don’t want you.' What am I supposed to do?"
