J. Cole's Dreamville Fest Will Have Different 'Multi-Year' Version Under New Brand

After previously announcing that the fifth Dreamville Fest will be the last, the J. Cole-hosted event will return under a different iteration.

During a press conference ahead of the Raleigh, North Carolina festival on Thursday (April 4), organizers shared that the event won't be going anywhere. "We’re going to be here for years to come," said Sascha Stone Guttfreund, festival producer for Dreamville and Live Nation, per Billboard. Guttfreund also called it a "multi-year deal" and shared his anticipation for "working with the city of Raleigh together on something new and exciting."

The festival's home base will continue to be Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, with heavy involvement from the two-time Grammy winner.

"We’re using the Dreamville label to a certain extent,” said Marchell Adams-David, Raleigh City Manager. “He will obviously be involved, whether or not he headlines. That’s probably not going to be an occurrence, but he is a local resident. He is totally committed to this community, and he is totally committed to this festival."

Adams-David also insisted that the festival will continue the "same path that’s been successful for us," meaning that it will be rap-focused. "Our consumers have told us what they like, and we’re going to try to provide that to them for the next four years," he told reporters.

While this year's headliners include Cole, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage and Erykah Badu, Dreamville Fest has seen no shortage of star power and special moments. Last year, Cole brought out Lil Yachty, Central Cee, Lil Durk and more during his set.
