Ye has another thing to worry about after it appears that he’s been texting a fake Joe Rogan about visiting the Joe Rogan Experience.

In a since-deleted tweet, on Friday (March 7), the 24-time Grammy winner shared screenshots of a text conversation he was having with "Rogan," who turned out to be an impersonator.

"I would love to sit down and speak with you but I am honestly a bit uncomfortable with your latest tweets," one message read, per TMZ. "Is there a way we can clear the air on some of this when we sit down?"

Unaware that the person wasn't Rogan, West agreed to the sit-down. "I'm happy to know that the tweets make you uncomfortable," he wrote. "They are working. As you said, 'I'm off the reservation.' AKA off the plantation."

But Rogan hopped on X to let Ye know that the discussion was cap. "Hey, @kanyewest, I don’t know who you’re talking to but that’s not me," Rogan reposted.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was a JRE guest in 2020 during his presidential run. Around the 56-minute mark of the video below, Ye addressed one of his most controversial statements when he called slavery "a choice" in 2018.

"I remember going on TMZ and saying, 'Slavery is a choice,' and they medicated me for saying that," he said at the time. "For having that opinion and saying it out loud. As I put those contracts up, I’m saying, 'This is a choice.'"

Earlier in the conversation, Ye said that he believed that his "calling" was to be "the leader of the free world."

There’s no word on if the real Rogan will give Ye a platform once again on his podcast.
