Kevin Gates Tactfully Shuts Down Fan Question About Brittany Renner Split

Kevin Gates shut down a fan question asked during a livestream about his divorce from Brittany Renner.

A fan asked Gates about Renner while he was livestreaming with Zias & B Lou. The questioner referred to Renner only as "that famous chick." In June, the Basketball Wives star announced on REAL 92.3 LA that she and Gates divorced on May 28 after 52 days of marriage.

"Are you listening good? Who I love I don't discuss," Gates told the fan around the 11-minute mark below. "Yeah, I keep it G."

Gates has given the same "Who I love I don't discuss" answer before, most notably to The Shade Room when their reporter asked why he and Renner walked the 2025 BET Awards red carpet separately.

In June, Renner said she "left no stone unturned" in her short-lived marriage to the Baton Rouge rapper. The media personality converted to Islam in 2024, around the time she and Gates began dating.

"A lot of people, their issue is, even just in dating, in marriage, it's people just don't give it their all. They don't just go for it," she told podcaster Bootleg Kev. "But I feel like when you do, you're at peace with whatever happens because I gave 100 percent."

Just months after the divorce was finalized, Gates' first wife, Dreka Gates, also filed for divorce from the rapper, who she married in 2015. Dreka, who shares two children with the "Really Really" artist, cited "irreconcilable differences" as her reason for the divorce.
