Lizzo, SZA and an unknown third female artist nearly started a rock trio together.

During a Valentine's Day Twitch stream, Lizzo discussed her friendship with SZA and revisited SOS track "F2F," which nearly made their hypothetical rock project.

"We’ve just always been friends, and it’s a sacred space for me in this industry," Lizzo said according to People. "We got this little period of time where we were just linking up in the studio, and eating pasta and drinking."

Their rock outfit, which was dubbed "Pussy Lasers" was intended to be formed with "an incredible other artist," who Lizzo declined to name.

Lizzo also shared the process of making "F2F," which she said SZA freestyled "the whole fucking song," while leaving off her "mumble verse."

"After that, I thought about that song all the time," Lizzo continued. "I was just like, 'I hope, I hope she puts it on the album. And then one day out of the blue she just texted me the finished version and I was just like, ‘And this is why you’re the GOAT.'"

On SZA, whom Lizzo has been friends with since 2013, she expressed that the LANA artist "writes the craziest, most insane shit that you’re thinking and feeling."

"But she just finds a way to say it, and she sings it so beautifully out the gate, out of her mouth the first time," Lizzo added.

While the "Special" collaborators' friendship has been well-documented, it was during the 2024 Grammy Awards that SZA celebrated their journey to stardom while accepting the Grammy for Best R&B Song.
