Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson made their red carpet debut as a couple this week at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation benefit gala.

The philanthropic organization raised over $1.2 million at the gala, which the three-time Grammy winner hosted at New York City's Gotham Hall on Wednesday night (July 16). Also in attendance to support the Houston rapper were Taraji P. Henson, Lil Uzi Vert, Fat Joe, Muni Long, Sei Less founder Dara Mirjahangiry, and more.

According to a press release, Thompson secured a $50,000 bid to secure a pair of tickets for SuperBowl LX while Lil Uzi Vert put down $30,000 for an Eliantte bracelet. Additionally, Fat Joe won a $26,000 bid for a special dinner for 10 guests at Melba’s Restaurant. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the foundation's ongoing programs and efforts in housing, education, health and wellness.

The Pete & Thomas Foundation was established in 2022 as a non-profit intended to support women, children, senior citizens and other underserved communities in memory of her late parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas.

Megan and Klay were all smiles at the event just days after revealing that they were a couple.

"I have never dated somebody so kind," Megan told Page Six at the event. "This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy."

She added: "I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me."

The couple confirmed their relationship on Instagram last week when Thompson posted a photo of himself kissing Megan. The two went Instagram official after she soft-launched their romance with photos that showed Klay lounging by the pool in the background.
