Suge Knight Thinks That Somebody Might Try to Make a 'Name for Themselves' By Hurting Diddy in Jail
The former Death Row Records co-owner spoke to NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo with speculation regarding Diddy's time in jail.
Suge Knight still has opinions on legal matters regarding Diddy, and he wants the public to hear them.
Last year, the former Death Row Records owner was mentioned in the first sexual assault and rape lawsuit that toppled Diddy's reign. But on Tuesday night (Sept. 24), Knight had a televised collect call with NewsNation's Chris Cuomo, where the 59-year-old wanted to discuss Diddy's arrest and alleged that he was involved with trafficking in the past. The Bad Boy Records founder is currently in jail and awaiting trial after being arrested last Monday on racketeering, sex trafficking, and the transporting of individuals engaged in prostitution. The music mogul's bail was twice denied.
On NewsNation (per TMZ), Knight shared a grim outlook on what could happen to Diddy behind bars, alluding to the three-time Grammy winner not being safe.
“I mean, one of the things is this, I don’t care who you are, prison and jail is a negative environment," Knight told Cuomo. "Somebody can do something to him and get a name for themselves, they’re gonna actually do it. Or if they can do whatever they can do to prove [themselves]. But we also gotta learn from our mistakes. Everything don’t have to be a mistake, you gotta better yourself. But we all know what we signed up for in life."
Elsewhere in the interview (per The Art of Dialogue), Knight mentioned that rappers like Snoop Dogg, Drake, T.I., Jay-Z, Rick Ross and more weren't "stepping up" for Diddy.
"Nobody's stepping up [to defend him] for the fact that you know what's going on," Knight expressed.
Knight, who's serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter, continued with speculation that a man named 'Tubby' brought underage girls for artists and employees at Interscope. Later, Knight said that he was once "friends" with Diddy and claimed that the "Gotta Move On" artist is an FBI informant.
"He's not a dummy. So he's smart enough to work his magic," Knight said. "On top of that, this man right here, he's been involved with the FBI for most of his career."
Among those who Knight named as Diddy's alleged allies was former U.S. President Barack Obama. "So it's not like he don't have no moves," Knight said about Diddy.
He also speculated that Diddy is undergoing drug withdrawals in jail. The businessman, rapper, and producer was alleged to have frequently used pink cocaine, also known as "tuci" or "tusi" before his arrest.
“I don’t think nobody is counting him out. I don’t think he’s going to crawl in a corner and die," Suge said. "He’s probably going through a lot of shit right now because he probably going through a lot of withdrawals from the drugs. But the industry got him on drugs."
Knight has long considered Diddy an FBI informant, which he discussed on a June episode of his podcast Collect Call with Suge Knight.
"It’s a lot of things that people been knowing, and everybody gets judged differently. It shouldn’t be a grey area when it comes to doing something right, doing something positive, or doing something for the community," Knight said around the 12-minute mark of the video below. "That being said, naturally, Puffy been an FBI informant forever, as they would say. That’s why it’s different when it comes to him."
"Regardless of who gets hurt, all everybody been saying is ‘Puffy, Puffy, Puffy.’ I think they shouldn’t all blame everything on Puffy. His exes in the industry knew about it. Everybody in his crew knew about it. The bitches he dates knew about it. Everybody knew about it. So don’t push away from it now."
