Summer Banton Shares Football-Inspired Visuals For Breezy New Single “Keeper”
The South-East London singer-songwriter co-produced the track alongside Elevated and Nolais.
Summer Banton is back with a light and breezy new R&B jam, “Keeper”.
Co-produced by Banton, she worked alongside Elevated and Nolais on the summer-ready instrumental. “Keeper” lands in the wake of the Lionesses’ phenomenal second consecutive European championship win and, in keeping with that theme, Summer uses football as the central metaphor, even assembling her own Summer Banton FC squad to help illustrate her point.
Released late last month, the rising star now returns with the track’s video, bringing all the footie metaphors to life as she takes to the pitch with the SBFC team (including a couple of faces you might recognise).
“‘Keeper’ was hilarious to write,” says Banton. “The song is filled with football metaphors; I think I surprised myself with my football knowledge. We wrote so many punchlines about the game, which came very seamlessly. I can officially say I have my own football team: S.B.F.C!”
