An nine-year-old boy is in a coma and suffering from brain swelling in a Texas hospital after being trampled during the chaotic scene at Astroworld over the weekend that left eight dead and numerous others injured, Stefania Okolie of ABC Houston reports.
The child’s family tells Okolie that the kid was sitting on his father’s shoulders when the overbearing crowd caused him to pass out, sending his son to the ground. Attendees proceeded to trample the unidentified boy, who has damaged all of his organs. The family is praying for a full recovery, but understands that it could be a miracle.
Travis Scottannounced Monday that he will cover the funeral costs for the eight people who were killed from the crowd surge at his annual festival. Travis has also partnered with BetterHelp to provide attendees with mental health help. “You know my fans really mean the world to me, and I always really wanna leave them with a positive experience,” he said in an Instagram video.
